Lightning guard is needed for defence of the wireless equipment Wi-Fi and other apparatus having outdoor bearing-out antennas, from influence of atmospheric static electricity which has most force during precipitations, especially thunderstorms. Lightning guard does not protect the equipment from the direct hit of lightning, its basic task - to take the surpluses of static tension on "earth", therefore during setting of devices of Lightning guard the high-quality grounding is required. If not not to use the device of Lightning guard, probability of burning down of ports is ever-higher, that results in death to the equipment, thus, at that rate, the device is not subject to guarantee repair.

    Грозозащитник диапазона частот 5,7-5,9 GHz, LAR-580 предназначен для защиты входных и выходных каскадов оборудования беспроводых сетей RadioEthernet от наведенного электромагнитного импульса (статического электричества), который может возникнуть в антенно-феридном тракте в результате действия электромагнитных полей во время грозы, атмосферного электричества, накопления статики во время осадков. Грозозащита не защищает оборудование от прямого попадания молнии, т.к. ее основная задача - отводить излишки статического напряжения на "землю", поэтому при установке устройств грозозащиты требуется качественное заземление.
